Deck Guide: Stompy 1 [Pauper]

Start writing my diary in English again for some reasons.
Please use the translation function of your browser if you are Japanese and odd enough to want to read this shit.
I have nothing to write here though, even today is the first day, so I am going to write some impression about my Pauper deck, Stompy. For those who do not know what Pauper is, Pauper is an ancient constructed format of Magic: the Gathering which almost no one plays these days. (To be accurate, about 400 players including me enjoy Pauper in Magic Online even in 2020.)

Stompy is a good old mono-green weenie. The archetype has a presence in the meta since the beginning of Pauper format thanks to the strong cards and consistency it has. The deck is made of about 20 creatures, 20 Giant Growthes, and 20 lands. Basically we try to win games by playing creatures and buffing them whatever the opponent deck is.
Recent results of my league courses are 3-2, 3-2, 3-2, 2-3, 4-1, 5-0. I do not think Stompy is particularly well-positioned in the current meta but at least it has enough power to enjoy Pauper at low tickets.

Creatures

4: Nettle Sentinels
3 or 4: Skarrgan Pit-Skulk
3: Vault Skirge

One-mana attackers.
Pit-Skulk and Skirge are good targets to buff against creature-based deck. I often see 3 Pit-Skulks Stompy in Goldfish lately, but I like 4 because it has an important role at some match-ups like Affinity, mirror, etc.
You can side-out 1 or 2 Skirges against Electrickery decks. Skirge is not a good pressure only by itself so I side-out 1 or 2 often against control or midrange decks.

4: Nest Invader
4: Burning-Tree Emissary

Core two-mana attackers.
Invader's Spawn Token enables you to dodge Chainer's Edict and Prismatic Strands (it's colorless!!!). It also can activate Morbid of Hunger of the Howlpack. I often use Elephant Guide to the spawn to secure a 3/3 elephant. All in all the spawn is very cool little guy.
Burning-Tree Emissary is basically 0 mana 2/2, no need to explain, but I side-out her in a specific situation where a 2/2 creature without ability has no value at all. For example, I consider to side-out some Emissaries against Mono-white Heroic. Nettle Sentinel is also in the category of the vanilla 2/2 creature. I like Sentinel more than Emissary against Heroic (and most of the other match-ups) because Sentinel is always 1 mana 2/2. Emissary is a little bit clunky when you want to keep a Forest untapped for Vines of Vastwood.

1 to 3: River Boa
1 to 3: Silhana Ledgewalker
0 to 2: Wild Mongrel

Optional two-mana creatures.
River Boa is the best creature against Mono-blue and UR Delver, and is also good against creature-based decks in the late game. We cannot pay the regeneration cost in the early game so I think 2 or 3 of 75 is a decent number. I am willing to play 4 if there is so many UR Delvers in the meta.
Ledgewalker is a kind of "win condition" card against removal-heavy midrange decks like UB and RW. Stompy is basically weak against them, but we can win if we make a 4/4 Ledgewalker. 2 or 3 Ledgewalkers is necessary for 5-0 in my opinion. Not 4 because she always needs support of other cards to be good.
Wild Mongrel is not a common choice but I like it. It can dodge Prismatic Strands like Spawn and is not stopped by Augur of Bolas. Quirion Ranger is a good dog caretaker since she can reuse Forests as a fuel and give Vigilance to the doggo. I will introduce Ranger at the land category later.
